What to have ready

None of this is required, but it makes the first conversation much more useful and gets you a sharper answer sooner.

• The address or at least the neighborhood, so we know who covers you.
• Roughly how big the affected area looks — a patch behind the toilet, or a whole wall.
• When you first noticed it, and what happened just before. Storm? Burst line? Nothing at all?
• Whether anything is currently wet, and whether the HVAC is running.
• Whether there is a deadline attached, such as a closing date or an insurance claim.
• Photos, if you have them. Include one wide shot for context, not just close-ups.

We read what you have sent, work out which contractor in the network covers your area and is appropriate for the job, and pass your details along. We tell you who that is. They contact you directly to arrange a visit. Nothing is owed and nothing is signed until you decide to hire someone.
